Our Mission

Paschal High School's Theatre Department endeavors to provide a comprehensive educational experiencethrough challenging, multi-level coursework and diverse production opportunities where students shall develop, not only performance skills, but an enriched understanding of themselves and the world around them.

Miriam Todd Theatre

The department's home: a proscenium house on the Paschal High School campus at 3001 Forest Park Boulevard, Fort Worth, named for Miriam Todd. A fuller account of the room and its namesake is in progress.

Each generation of PHS Theatre students and faculty serves as stewards of the program and its resources.

Through our actions and impact, PHS Theatre community embodies the heritage of those who came before us and builds an inheritance for those that shall come after us.

“A Living Legacy” is a call to action for us to live the PHS Theatre values making each generation an essential part of the Paschal Theatre legacy.

Paschal Theatre is a values-informed program, meaning the Theatre Department values guide and inform all department policies and practices regarding classrooms, events, activities, rehearsals, performances, and student leadership and organizations.

Our directors

  • Mr. Drew Weesner

    Director of Theatre

    Mr. Weesner is very excited to be joining the Paschal community as the Director of Theatre. Mr. Weesner “starred” in “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” when he was in the fourth grade and has been in love with the world of theatre ever since!

    After graduating from Wills Point High School in 2003, Mr. Weesner attended Lubbock Christian University where he earned his Bachelor degree in Theatre Arts. Lubbock Christian University was such a great experience that Mr. Weesner returned to earn his Masters in Educational Leadership in 2012.

    Mr. Weesner began his career at Friendship High School in Wolfforth, TX where he spent seven years building an award-winning program. It was during this time that Mr. Weesner was named the 2014 Outstanding Theatre Alumn for Lubbock Christian University.

    After a move to the Metroplex and a brief stint working in non-profit development, Mr. Weesner returned to his passion, teaching and directing Theatre, at Stripling Middle School. Mr. Weesner’s passions include Musical Theatre, Directing, Harry Potter, and his wife and two sons.

  • Mr. Jacob Clemmons

    Directing, Design, Instruction

    Mr. Clemmons has been an integral part of the PHS Theatre Department since joining the staff during the 2023-2024 academic year. He has lent his skills to directing, designing, and teaching. Watch for more about Mr. Clemmons coming soon!
